You don't truly know a place until you know its inhabitants and habitats. That's why our wildlife research includes field observations, habitat checks, Rakali surveys, and river biological health surveys.
The Rakali Project, kicked off in 2023 with some help from the Shire of Northam, is a highlight. These water rats are tough to spot, but finding them means the river's doing okay—they're a sign of balanced ecosystems.
After Dark Adventures
Night walks and river surveys reveal a different side of the valley. We document wildlife activity, habitat condition, and biological health so our restoration work is guided by practical field data.
